Fresh from the online studio of Hit Those Keys comes a redesign of author Anne Bustard’s site:

This project is an example of intentionally designing a static site to seamlessly integrate with a dynamic WordPress installation. In this case, Anne had an established Blogger blog that she wanted to move under the umbrella of her main site. Anneographies highlights picture book biographies for children:

Because one of the goals of the Anneographies site is to make it easier for readers, educators and librarians to find worthy biographies for children, I felt it was important to take advantage of the way a database-driven site can store and retrieve information.
On visiting the blog, readers see what biographies might be available for public figures born on the day of the visit. But they can also search conventionally, using the search box, for specific dates, specific names, titles, authors, etc. The monthly calendar of posts can also be used for navigation, along with category archives that correspond to the months. (The latter make it possible to search for all biographies highlighted for a certain month, regardless of which year Anne originally posted the article.) Finally, a tag cloud also allows readers to observe the most popular birth years, names and occupations of famous people highlighted on the blog.

I can tell in a heartbeat that this is one of yours–not only because I know, but also because it involves a typewriter.
::chuckle:: Indeed.
Gorgeous design. And your blog is an inspiration!
Thanks very much! You made my day.
