Another freelancer whose career I’ve followed for some time, Patty Ayers, has made a similar shift in her mode of working as I’m about to make with my shift to the Air.
Although Patty is on a PC laptop, her goals are similar. She travels yearly to Mexico for an extended stay and so has come to rely on cloud-computing as a way to keep her business lean and mean and ultra-portable. Patty runs Ayers Virtual, and blogs about Making Websites.

Since I haven’t even made it to geek level 1 can you explain “cloud computing”. I’m guessing doing everything using web-hosted apps.
Yep.
Although, I’m thinking my stuff will be less “in the cloud”. I’m mainly thinking that I’d like to take better advantage of all the cool, fun stuff that comes built into any Mac. And, at the same times, stop bending over backwards accommodating things PC. (Because it’s not really necessary in most cases anyway.)
